Good but... |

Handicap 6 - 10 |
| ...I also agree with what some of the others have said. this is a great ball, and preforms in the same realm as the Pro V1x, which is also longer off the tee and tends to not be quite as responsive on the short chips from my experience. The Tour i, when released this summer, should correct this issue, but like the Pro v1, will be a few yards shorter off the tee. I think what a lot of people are missing, however, are the characteristics of the hex dimple technology along with the weight that's been moved |

| When the ProV1 first arrived on the seen, there was only one word used to discribe it, WOW!!! This is the exact feeling I NOW have with the new IX ball. My distance has increased by 8-12 yards. Playability around greens, increadible!!! Callaway, job well done... |

Handicap 10 - 15 |
| This ball is longer than the Pro V1x. I played both balls simultaneously this weekend as I compared two drivers. The two drivers were so close to one another that whichever driver hit the iX was longer than the driver hitting the V1x. This pattern repeated itself on ten of the 14 driving holes on my home course. I would hit two iX's with one driver and two V1x's with the other. The iX's were longer regardless of the driver on 10 of 14 holes. On average, I would say the iX's were 5 to 7 yards longer. |

Not what I expected |

| I played through 3 sleeves of these so I gave them a fair chance. But I agree with the others that they just don't want to check up for you on shorter chip/pitch shots.
I was use to my V1x's and when chipping with these to the same distance (on some of the same greens) the Ix wouldn't check much and then roll out an additional 8-10 feet. I had to start chipping a fair amount shorter than the prov1x's. Down slope chips weren't fun.
Control and distance from the tee and fairway was as comparable to the V1x. |

| Thought these be softer than they are, they do spin great off of full shots but the spin with chips close to green lacking, hopefulyl the tour i will be softer and be able to put more spin on them at clsoe range. The only real postive is the distance goes a mile, but if your short sided and need to start and stop it quick this is not for you, but dont get me wrong these will back up a mile off of full shots!!!! |
